Privacy Policy

The Short Version

bestdnpprograms.com has no accounts, no login, and no contact form. It does not ask you for your name or email address. Analytics uses cookies and browser storage as described below. Nothing about you is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone beyond what is described below.

What Is Collected

Server logs. The site is served from a content delivery network, which records the ordinary information every web server records: the page requested, the time, an IP address, the browser’s user-agent string and the referring page. This is used to keep the site running and to detect abuse.

Google Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to measure page views, traffic sources and visitor activity. It uses first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and visits. Google receives analytics data and processes it under its own terms. We do not send names or email addresses through this integration. You can block analytics requests with browser privacy tools and delete analytics cookies through your browser settings. See Google’s cookie documentation.

Website analytics. Our analytics service, hosted on Convex, records page views, referring sites, campaign parameters, outbound link clicks and interactions with embedded widgets. It also records screen dimensions, browser language and time zone. Random visitor and session identifiers are stored in localStorage and sessionStorage to associate visits and activity. These records help us understand which pages and links readers use. You can clear these identifiers by deleting this site’s browser storage.

Outbound links. Pages link to government data sources, accreditors and institutions. Following one takes you to a site with its own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

What Is Not Collected

No account data, because there are no accounts. No form submissions, because there are no forms. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from an external font provider. Analytics collection is described above.

Affiliate Relationships

Best DNP programs may be compensated when a reader requests information from, or enrolls with, a program listed here, and any paid placement is labeled where it appears. Compensation buys a labeled placement and nothing else. It does not decide which programs are listed, where they rank, or what the guides say: every score is computed from published tuition, conferral and completion figures in federal and accreditor records, and no school can pay to change one.

Where a link to a partner is added in future, it will be labeled on the page, and this section will describe what that partner receives when you follow it.

Retention

Server logs are retained by the hosting provider under its standard retention period. Google Analytics and website analytics records are retained according to the settings of those services. Browser storage remains on your device until it expires, the session ends, or you clear it, depending on the storage used.

Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale. Nothing here is sold.

Children

This site is written for people considering a doctoral degree and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Changes

This policy is written to describe named, specific things so that it cannot go quietly out of date. When the site changes what it loads or collects, this page changes in the same release, and the effective date at the top moves.
